Since the C3CS only implements a basic particle system the C3PE was developed as an enhancement module to this engine. The particle engine consists of two separate modules, a stateless gpgpu powered particle system and a state-preserving cpu based system. Both modules supports many adjustable parameters and a integrated physics system. A simplified version of the engine is used together with some routines from the Powertek.Rt library in the fibre simulation POFS.
